I never personally found the tendency to crumble that problematic, as I find it's non-sticky texture makes for quick and easy sweep up. I liked Moon Dough before but now that I've seen the all new dough formula, I have to say I love the changes and am so glad they made them! It features brighter, more vibrant colors as well as better consistency for molding and it's much less crumbly and odor-free. All this while still retaining the qualities we loved before, it never dries out and can be reused over and over.
Those of you familiar with Moon Dough will notice the change as soon as you take it out of the box. Now the dough retains it's shape, even in the bags. You no longer have to take it out and squish it all together into a ball before using, it's already in a solid mass. Getting back to the bags for a moment, I was happy to see that the dough now comes in resealable bags you can store it in. It's a minor thing, but was one of my pet peeves about the former packaging.
To try out the all new Moon Dough formula we got the Push N' Pop Breakfast play set. ER finally got a set that molds food. It's what she's been wanting the whole time and she was very excited to begin playing. I love the new Push N' Pop molds. Not only do they offer amazing detail they are so easy to use. Out of the three sets we've got, this method is the easiest to use for fantastic results.
Here are the three easy steps to making yourself breakfast, Moon Dough style!
Step 1: Position a Push N' Pop mold over the dough.
Step 2: Press down on the mold.
Step 3: Release the Push N' Pop mold, pick up and your "pancake with syrup".
Soon you'll have a whole Moon Dough breakfast to play with on the included play mat.
The new formula is a lot better than the original; now that I see how the improved one works I can see why some parents were bothered by the way it used to crumble. There is a huge difference; it's nice to see how Spin Master, the makers of Moon Dough, listened to their customers and addressed their concerns.
If you haven't tried Moon Dough before or are have a younger child, check out the new Push N' Pop sets. The new molds also make it a lot easier to use and get great results right away. ER says it's her favorite set and has been playing with it a lot over the past three days, so much so that it hasn't been put away! It's been out on her table and she keeps coming back for more, so I can say it really doesn't dry out!

That's good to know. I don't get it out very often, because I hate cleaning it up!
