Hello and welcome to the Weekly Blog Hop and to Katie's Nesting Spot!
I orginally started my blog as strictly an online journal for my family. I wanted some where to record little snippets of what we're doing. This way I'd have everything already written for when I eventually get around to scrapbooking my piles of photos. It quickly evolved into a creative outlet and a place to share the learning adventures I have with my toddler.
I love blogging about our daily life, the fun parts and trials of raising a toddler. For me the best part of blogging is becoming friends with other bloggers. I like meeting new friends and learning their stories. I recently begun writing reviews and doing giveaways so you'll also find a few of those peppered throughout too. My interests include crafting, scrapbooking, photography, learning new things like how to use my sewing machine, trying new recipes, and throwing themed play dates.
I'm also a co-founder of ABC & 123: A Learning Cooperative, where we share educational activities from around the web but mainly from our wonderful readers. As a former kindergarten and special education teacher that's a way for me to stay involved in the career I loved and plan to return to after my hiatus to be a stay at home mommy. Come visit me there too! I'd love to get a lesson submission from you!
What began as a fun little thing to do after checking my email has rapidly grown. I'm looking forward to finding some great new blogs to read! Please leave me a comment so I know you've been by. If you like what you see please consider becoming a follower. I'd love to see you at my place again!
What a great blog! I will be checking out your educational cooperative...I'm a 1st grade teacher morphing into a Reading Specialist! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh thank you for visitng my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I've only lived in NC so of course I'm partial. We do have the best of both worlds with the mountains on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. I certainly appreciate the part about living close to your parents. I am 2 hours from mine and some days I wish I was a lot closer...but not too close. Come to NC anytime - to visit or live. We'd love to have you!
ReplyDeleteBTW, your blog is full of useful information!
Hi sweetie, stopping by to blog hop...not like I'm not here daily anyways..haha

ReplyDeleteThanks for hopping over to my place. Your blog looks great. I will need to spend some time exploring it. I really need to learn to digital scrapbook, so if you have any recommendations for a not so tech savvy, slow learner, let me know.

ReplyDeleteStopping by from the blog hop to say hello. Hope you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog :) I left a response to your questions on my blog but just in case you didn't get a notification I'll post here as well, sorry if this is not the appropriate place for this:
ReplyDeleteWow! I couldn't imagine the feeling of being born elsewhere and never visiting. I lived in Korea for 3 years due to my dad's job and graduated high school there. It really is a fantastic place and has changed a lot over the decades to a first world nation. Although there are plenty of things about Korea I'm not quite fond of, I really loved the place.
Do you happen to know your birth mother if you don't mind me asking? I know of a few other people who were adopted from Korea, and none of which knows their birth mother. I use to volunteer in a Korean orphanage so I know a little about Korea and adoption. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I'll be more than happy to exchange emails :)
Do you know how much your comment meant to me? It totally made me smile! Thank you for taking the time to tell me what your mother told you when you were little. It gives me more confidence when I talk to my daugher some day about her adoption.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I'll be back!!
