Grand Haven Day 3: The Sun at Last!

Finally a warm sunny day! The last day of our visit was everything you imagine a beach vacation to be. We got there early and got a spot right next to the lake. Since it had been stormy the day before, the waves were really crashing in and the coast guard designated it a red day, so we weren't supposed to swim. ER got to dig and scoop to her hearts content and Grammy worked on a sand castle. Brad got into the act and some of the kids nearby came over to check out what he was doing. He was quite popular and two little boys and one of the little boy's sister came over to work on a digging out two deep holes with a tunnel to connect them. I think it's great that Brad gets down with ER and really plays with her, I guess I thought that was pretty normal. My dad always did that kind of thing with us. I was surprised to see how many parents just sat around and didn't interact with their kids, pretty sad.Grand Haven was a great place for a quick get away. We had fun exploring the quaint downtown, walking along the boardwalk, and playing in the sand. It was a quick get away from daily life and much needed! We stayed in town until late afternoon, and ER even slept almost the whole way home! So nice to get to listen to our music and NOT the DVD playing☺

Thanks for sitting through my vaca pictures, I hope it wasn't like having to watch a ton of vaca slides or home movies!
