Our Pumpkin Altered Frame

I made this last year, with a unfinished frame widely available at craft stores for three dollars. The paper is by Heidi Grace Designs and it is so cool! I don't know if you can tell in the pictures but it has a slight sheen to it, a bit of glitter here and there, and embossed parts too. I just loved it and was saving it for something really special. And what better than a frame, that I'll take out year after year with my Halloween decorations? But even with the really neat, translation expensive and over two bucks a sheet, paper it still felt like something was missing. I just added the rick rack and spiders this year, and now I finally feel it's finished. I love it. The little spiders are actually shaped brads by my all time favorite scrapbook company, Doodlebug Designs. I just had Brad cut the prongs off and used a pop dot to attach them.
You may have noticed, that I'm a little obsessed with ER in her pumpkin costume. She was just so squeezable and huggable in it, okay well I think that most of the time, but seeing her in it was really an awwwww.....moment for me. She looked so cute teetering around in it, we're lucky she could balance and walk in it! It was her first real costume, because the year before I just put her in a Halloween shirt, so it's a special memory for us.

This is my contribution to the Spooky Story Starters linky on Mama’s Losin’ It and The Creative Chick Parade - Mod Podge on The Girl Creative. Update 10/26/10 - also shared at Paper Issues.
