Let's Play Dress Up

Earlier this week ER got a Christmas package in the mail from her Great Aunt Cheri and Great Uncle Bill! Inside were 4 beautiful dress up outfits, that she made for ER. Aunt Cheri is a very talented seamstress who has been sewing and quilting since she was very young. She's even had articles published in Threads Magazine. ER is very lucky to have an Aunt who can spoil her with such fanciful creations! Cause it's going to be a very long time before I can make anything like this on my sewing machine, as I am currently working on straight lines that don't end up all wonky.First up was this fun chef's outfit, it even had "Top Chef" printed on the label in front. Aunt Cheri must know that ER loves to bake and mix up things in the kitchen. We thought the red hot chili peppers were perfect her. She is a Santa Fean after all!
If she gets tired of whipping up Mommy and Daddy things to eat she can fix up all her dolls and animals in her "Top Doc" uniform, with her new medical kit. Aunt Cheri even made a personalized ID tag with her name and picture in it, so she can get into restricted parts of the hospital, I'm sure☺
Next up was my personal favorite just because I thought she looked so cute "flying" around the great room, i.e. running full tilt in a circle☺ The little wings are attached with velcro and have glitter threads embroidered on it. The best was last for this princess fanatic, a lovely traditional styled Cinderella dress! Now ER can look just like her favorite Disney Princess. Thank you Aunt Cheri and Uncle Bill! ER LOVES the wonderful Christmas presents you sent her. As you can see we had to try on everything immediately and play in them as soon as we unwrapped each one. It means so much to Brad and I, that Cheri lovingly handmade these dress up outfits for her. We're sure ER will have many hours of fun imaginative playing in them! We all love and miss you, very much♥

  1. WOW, What an amazing amount of work went into those outfits. I'm in awe. I love to sew, but I can only make quilts - have never done clothes, and the whole idea intimidates me. How loved your little girl is. :)

What is nice about these outfits is they will likely last longer than anything bought in stores, ya know? Those are so awesome.

PS, did you know that ER gets cuter and cuter? She is getting so big too.
