Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a great time on New Year's Eve! We enjoyed our night out immensely, starting with a delicious dinner at Don Pablo's. Their chicken fajitas are so yummy and Brad got to eat his fill of enchiladas, with their never ending plate of cheesy goodness on Thursdays.

Then we headed over to Melissa's and Tim's. It was great visiting with them and our other good friends Sara and Jeff, along with the 20 or so other party goers that were there. We played Guitar Hero, and I stunk so badly that I got booed off the virtual stage before Pat Benatar's "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" was even half over!
That was pretty sad because I was probably the only one in the room who at one time could play the real song on a guitar. But it was all good fun and we also got to see another one of our sorority sisters Kristen and her husband too, so it was fun catching up with everyone while eating way too many munchies and watching the ball drop. We were out until an unheard of 1:30 AM!

Today ER came home with Grandma Norma and Ray. Not only did they bring our daughter back to us but they arrived with a delicious New Year's Day dinner. We've had so many days off now that I keep losing track of what day of the week it is, feels like Sunday! I think we're going to relax this weekend before starting back on our normal routine on Monday. The holidays were really wonderful this year!

  1. Yes, it is going to be hard to get back in to a routine after having so many relaxing days. I have enjoyed all of them. Happy New Year.

  7. Happy New Year! Sounds like you had a fun celebration. Your Guitar hero success, or lack of, just goes to show that the virtual game really has nothing to do with real musical talent;)
