Our Mail Carrier Brings Dresses

Dresses for ER seems to be the theme of our recent deliveries! Besides these three, we also got two more in the mail. First we got this cute blue floral Lily Pulitzer dress from ER's Godmother, picked out because ER is all about blue right now. Those are our bushes in the back in bloom and I LOVE this picture. I think it's my new favorite one of ER.
Then Aunt Cheri sent ER's birthday presents early so she could get a lot of wear out of them this summer. She made both of these dresses; she is so talented and knows the way to a little girl's heart. Matching handmade hair ribbons were included. She is wearing this one in yesterday's post on going to the Cranbrook Science Institute. She really likes that it matches her favorite blue sandles. Interestingly, the top part of this dress used to be a pair of Aunt Cheri's capri's. Love that! She also sent along this pretty pink one with cute balloon fabric, it reminds me of something that would be in Victoria Magazine, a favorite read of mine. ER loves that there are pockets on it.
The detail on it is called tatting, and Brad's Great Great Grandmother made tons and tons of this stuff. We're so lucky to have a piece of her handiwork incorporated into something ER can wear. Part of Wordless Wednesday at: Five Minutes for Mom, Jolly Mom, Go Graham Go, Two of a Kind Working on a Full House and Wordful Wednesday at Seven Clown Circus.
