First Ballet Shoes Shadowboxing Revisited

I recently redid the scrapbox I did with ER's first ballet shoes. In the first version, the box was smaller, just 8X8. After I made it I realized I really wanted to include more memorabilia. The new 12X12 size means I have room for the ribbon and ticket from her dance recital. It's nice to have that stuff out of the drawer and up where ER can see it. She helped me pick out the tutu sticker and she loves it!

  5. What a great idea! I might have to do something like it with my ballerina's first shoes, she is about to move up to leather slippers in September :) That is just beautiful!

  10. Gorgeous! I want to do something similar for my sister. Sadly I think we only have one of her first ballet shoes kicking around. More reason to save it in a shadow box I guess!

  11. Katie! That box is so precious! I love it!

I bought a shadow box to use for my Dad but that was 5 years ago. It is now collecting dust waiting for me to do something with it.

You are giving me an idea!

  13. What a sweet idea, Katie! Although my little girl's first ballet shoes are quite a bit larger than E's...and a whole lot more beat up! :) But, I will still be doing this once she gets her new pair!

Hope you've been doing well and having a great summer!
