Every night I sing ER the same song, our version of "You Are My Sunshine". We've personalized it and over time it's has become "You Are My Sweetheart". That was her idea, when one night as I was rocking her, she objected, "Hey I'm your SWEETHEART!" And so she is!
I smile everytime I watch this video of her singing. She starts out with "Sunshine", forgets the words partway through - I guess you're never too young to mumble through lyrics you've forgotten, and then ends confidently with "Sweetheart".
Oh that little voice brings me such joy!
