Halloween Frames

My Godbrother and his wife Karen are in town this week for a family wedding and were able to come see us at our house for the first time. I made these little frames, for a picture of their darling baby Yoda.
This one is for my Godmother Annemarie. I thought a simple one with Halloween paper and a big bow, we're both ribbon fanatics, would fit her style nicely.
I went a little more cutesy for Matt's and Karen's. The paper for this one is really thick, with glitter embedded in it. I was worried it was a bit too much at first, but I'm really happy by how bright and vibrant it is. I added the glittery black frame around the opening and think it really pulls it all together.

These little gifts were essentially free for me, because only used things from my craft stash. But even if I had to buy the materials, here a run down on how inexpensive they were. The frames, all the paper, and Halloween embellishments were each only a dollar each. The ribbon I got on a gift and saved and the buttons are from a big bag my MIL gave me.

  1. Really cute! It would be fun to have one for every year so you can see all the different costumes throughout the years!

  6. I love those frames. Halloween colors are the perfect combination, especially with the purple and green thrown into the mix. Years ago, I am talking pre-kids, I came across directions for a Halloween quilt in a Family Circle magazine. I fell in love with the color combination. I just found it tucked away with Halloween recipes I have cut out throughout the years. I just might try to attempt it, of course with the help of my dad, the quilter!
