Kellogg's Share Your Breakfast

Yesterday was National Breakfast Day, and in honor of it, I wanted to tell my readers about Kellogg's Share Your Breakfast. This charitable initiative is their way of helping children who live in food-insecure homes get a meal before the school day starts. Getting a good nutritious start to the day is important and sadly one in four children, live in homes where food is not always available. Now through July 31, 2011 there's an easy way for you to help! When you share a photo or description of your breakfast, Kellogg's will donate the monetary equivalent of school breakfasts to Action for Healthy Kids, a nonprofit organization that focuses on childhood obesity and undernourishment. One way they support their causes is by providing funding directly to school districts to expand and develop breakfast programs. You can share as often as you want to help us reach their goal of one million breakfasts by the 2011-2012 school year.
You can also text the word SHARE with a photo or a description of your breakfast to "Share" 21534. (Message and data rates may apply. See your carrier for details.)
Here is our breakfast picture, just uploaded on Monday and already on the website! Help spread the word about this fun and easy way to get breakfast to those who need it the most! Tweet about Share Your Breakfast using #shareURbreakfast. Visit the “Help A Child” tab on Kellogg's Facebook page and upload your photo straight from there!

Disclosure: I have been compensated for spreading the word about this program, however, I do not post about initiatives I do not support and believe in.

  1. Very good cause! If I actually ate a "real" breakfast, I would certainly do it. I need to do a better job eating....they would refuse to post any pictures I sent in.
