Review & Giveaway: Prima Princessa Presents Sleeping Beauty on DVD

This giveaway is now closed, congratulations to Kelly Tillotson, comment #13 and who said, "i follow via gfc!"
This is ER's third year taking ballet class and she loves dancing.  The big recital is the highlight of her year and she loves watching the other performances almost as much as being in one herself.  She is mesmerized by the dancers and now with the latest Prima Princessa release she can experience the excitement at home whenever she wants.  Prima Princessa Presents Sleeping Beauty on DVD is the perfect gift for your favorite little dancer, and an affordable last minute stocking stuffer!

This is our third Prima Princessa DVD and it's by far our favorite one!  I think it's because she was already familiar with both story of Sleeping Beauty and the ballet's music.  She could anticipate what was going to happen and of course, she loved dancing along with the students from the School of American Ballet.  here is a brief synopsis of the DVD:
kids show
Prima Princessa Presents Sleeping Beauty," is a 60-minute special program for children 3-6 years old that parents will fall in love with too. Join the animated ballerina, Prima Princessa as she takes a group of young children to see a shortened version of the ballet The Sleeping Beauty, performed by England’s famous Royal Ballet. Prima Princessa narrates the story of the ballet so the plot is easy to follow. Between acts young viewers are encouraged to get up and dance along to short and simple demonstrations of ballet steps, featuring students from the School of American Ballet, one of the best ballet schools in the country. The adventure continues with a fun tea party and crafting bonus features following the main feature.
Like the previous Prima Princess titles it features beautiful scenes from the ballet, this time performed by England's famous Royal Ballet.  Viewers can experience the beautiful scenery and artistry of the dancers without a transatlantic flight.  The animated character of Prima Princess narrates the ballet and then leads the viewer through some simple ballet steps.  Children are given the chance to learn ballet vocabulary and practice their steps.  It's nice how the Prima Princessa Presents Sleeping Beauty DVD gets dancers up and moving.  I also liked that a different ballet company is featured from the other two DVDs.  It's nice to see the various different styles of productions.
You can also check out PrimaPrincessa.com, the accompanying website, which brings ballet to the whole family with ballet inspired coloring pages, a ballet dictionary, educational games, links to ballet schools and more. You can also view clips from the Prima Princessa shows.  Prima Princessa’s blog TutuZone.com features craft projects for girls and other fun family activities.
