Thanks Desperate Craftwives! My Personalized Handstamped Necklace

Hi everyone, today I wanted to tell you all about a giveaway I won. Blythe from Desperate Craftwives recently had her first one, for one of her beautiful custom handstamped necklaces.  What caught my eye about this particular necklace was the super fun rectangluar sterling silver tag.  I don't have anything like that, and I thought it looked very modern and cool.

Plus it's made out of premium quality materials, sterling silver and a Swaroski crystal, no cheaper nickel here!  The chain is also sterling silver.  FYI, some times when you see less expensive handstamped jewelry, it's because nickle blanks are used instead of sterling silver.  Not that I'm knocking nickel too much.  I've even got a couple of beautiful looking pieces.  But in person when you touch and feel it you can definitely tell the difference.  Sterling silver is always going to be nicer.

I worked with Blythe to create a personalized necklace, full of meaning for me.  She's handstamped the initials K&B on it to represent me and my husband.  We'll be married twelve years this summer, and during that time Brad went from student to Ph.D.  We've lived in two different states, gone from renting to home ownership, dealt with some life changning medial issues, and had two kids.  We've been through a lot and I thought we deserved a new piece of jewelry that celebrated our relationship.  The clear bezel-set Swarovski crystal represents the engagement diamond Brad gave me all those years ago.  Thank you Blythe, for creating such a special piece just for me.  I'll wear it and treasure it!

  1. WOW, Katie!!! Thank you so much for such an amazing post. I am so happy that you love the necklace! The best part of making handstamped jewelry is learning the story of what makes each piece so meaningful.
