Altered CD Holder Mini Book: Thanksgiving 2009

I have been wanting to make a CD mini album for a few years but never got around to and kinda forgot about them. When I saw this tutorial at Creative Scrapbook Divas, I remembered I've had some of my friends old empty containers sitting in my basement for the past three years. Cases I'd snagged from her when she moved to do this project!

Last weekend Maryanne held her last Online Crop of the year and one of the challenges was to make a project based on one of the tutorials in that forum. Just the motivation I needed! Glad I finally put one of these cases to good use. I really like how it came out and plan to make more now for sure!

***The tutorial is no longer available, let me know if you have questions on how to assemble!

The front cover, I made a frame out of patterned paper and all the other stickers have been raised with foam tape. I plan to add the year 2009 in the top left corner where the opening in the case it. I just need to go get some stickers that fit in that narrow space.

Detail of the 3D embellishments on the cover.

Inside of the CD Holder, pocket on one side with tags and fold out accordion book on the right.

Close up of the pocket with tags, all the journaling is on the tags.

How the mini book inside folds out. It really should've been the other way, but I already glued down when I realized that. It holds nine photos.

I love little projects like this, that commemorate holidays. The mini book I made last November, Thanksgiving Treats, is another good way to capture your family's memories.
