Happy Hapa

One of my bestie blogging gal pals is the talented Sharon of Mama's a Mess. She's got an Etsy shop, Happy Hapa and I've long been hankering for one of her tropical fabric camera straps. I might be living in the Midwest, but a girl can remember her days in sunny California and a honeymoon in Hawaii, right? All the easier, if my constant companion, my good ol' camera is sportin' a suitably themed strap right?

Well "someone", aka Brad - the husband, just was not gettin' the hints. So I had to take matters into my own hands, especially after I saw Sharon's post about her sewing play date that ended with her making a fabulous car seat organizer! I just HAD to have one for myself!
Now Sharon hadn't really planned on adding them to Happa Hapa, but with a little pleading she helped me out! She is the sweetest! I told her I really liked Heather Bailey fabric, but wanted something a little darker so potential dirt stains would be less likely to show up on it. Here's what she came up with...simply FABULOUS!!!
My picture of it in action, isn't as pretty, but it looks great in the car. It gives it a really pretty punch of color and ER loves the blue. A couple of the other preschool moms have already commented rather jealously how awesome it is.
I totally ignored this picture on the listing and didn't really notice the wooden dowel straps until I was tieing it onto my headrest. But these would also make it a great little toy organizer in a nursery too, don't you think? I may have to bug Sharon about that in the future!
Oh and the camera strap that started it all...here she is, as pretty as can be. I love it Sharon, thanks so much for answering all my pesky questions, dealing with measurement mistakes - on my part, and hunting down the perfect fabrics:)

Happy Hapa also features really reversible cute crayon aprons, the mermaid apron is my favorite, that are really clever. On one side you can slide in crayons and the other is perfect for playing pretend. If you like to support handmade businesses, like I do, you should definitely check out Sharon's store.
