Fall Wall Hanger

I've been enjoying all fall crafts that are popping up on blogs, and recently came across this fun project. I decided to recreate my own version, while trying to use mainly materials from my craft stash. I did a pretty good job too, I was only short five of the jump rings used to connect each panel together.
I also changed the sizes to 4X6 because I already have a big stack of already printed photos that I need to do something with. Plus then I only needed 2 pieces of 12X12 chipboard to make all the panel backings. These four are some of my very favorite fall pictures of ER, taken when she was a 15 months old. It was also the first year we moved back from Santa Fe.

It was pretty easy to make in an evening and now I can see my favorite pictures and they aren't hidden away upstairs. I followed the design of the model fairly closely for where to place the elements, like photos and letters.
The papers are textured and I lifted some elements up on pop dots, like one of the owls on a bottom panel. I used some 3-D embellishements, like the pumpkin, gourds, and leaves that also have a fuzzy texture. I thought that was a fun touch. I also used some rub-ons I got in a package from Target's Dollar Section. The large letters were hand cut and Brad cut the dowel to size for me. I have added this to a fun new linky party I just discovered, Make Your Monday over at Twice Remembered. There are a lot of creative people there so be sure to pop on by for some inspiration! It's also part of my friend Heidi's Craft Challenge over at Blue Eyed Blessings. We took a few months off, but are back in full swing now and we'd love for you to join us too!

Your wall hanging is perfect and fun to look at.

Also, I have to say... how great it is that ER has such a creative mom! I loved ER's fall wreath and the collage you thought for her to do.

And that she loves to stamp up special "valentine's" for you :o) She's following her mommy's foot steps in the creativity dept. :o)

Blessings & Aloha!

I LOVE this and am bookmarking it. I have so many craft projects I want to make between now and Christmas!

I think I will make this a Christmas themed one for me--gives me more time to complete it.

Yours looks so good-thanks for sharing this!

Anyways, love the project you posted. Sounds simple and fun to make.

I am thinking it might make a good christmas gift for granadparents.
