My First Digital Birthday Party Invitation

So what do you think? Here's my final version, with a few text edits for privacy. I am a very novice digital scrapbooker; using an ancient version of Photoshop Elements but I'm having a lot of fun trying my hand at a new skill! I am curious to know how long it takes experienced digital scrapbookers to do a project or page. It takes me forever to do anything, so I hope once I learn a little bit more things will go faster. Also does anyone know how to prevent the text from getting all blurry? Mine seems to get that way whenever I switch from a PSE file to a JPEG.

I used the kit I searched high and low for because I just had to have a tree house for my invitation. We're going to one of those large indoor climbing structures and Tree House is in the location's name so it's really quite perfect for our party. ER is so so so excited about going there and has asked every day since she heard me booking the place if today is the day. I can't wait to see all her little friends climbing around and chowing down on pizza and cake!

I really like the combination of colors in the invitation, but I think it might be a little bottom heavy. Most of the design elements ended up down there. Plus the lady bug maybe a little oddly distorted, but ah well I'm still in love with it. I couldn't have bought the invitations I liked for the price of the kit so this is also an adventure at being frugal. Or at least I would've saved money if two other digital kits hadn't happened to jump into my cart at checkout. Whoopsie, can't imagine how that happened☺

Like I said before, I have more little touches planned and I'll share those too as I work on them! If anyone knows some really good tutorials for digital scrapbooking techniques or stores you really like please let me know. I've purchased Scrap Orchard and Sweet Shoppe Designs but would love to know a few more places to browse!

It looks really cute Katie. I love all the fun colors and the tree house is my favorite part (although the little lady with a bug is clever too). I;m wondering if you took out the flowers on the bottom corner if it would feel less "heavy" to you. Nice work! Watch out you'll quickly become a digital scrappin' junkie and you might just need a good CM program to do it on;)

I think it looks great! I have never tried the digital scrap booking thing. Might make my life easier. Is it pretty dummy (meaning me!) proof?
