Birthday Weekend Wrap Up

Thank you so very much for all the birthday wishes, really I can't say thank you enough. That was so sweet of everyone and made my day!

Here's a quick recap of the weekend, mainly for me so I can remember it months from now when I finally get around to scrapbooking it all! Actually my birthday kicked off last Thursday when I met my good friend Margaret for dinner at PF Chang's. That's a huge splurge for us; I haven't been there in over two years. I just love the hot & sour soup there, and I just hate it anywhere else! The Mongolian beef and Chang's spicy chicken are my favorite dishes.

On Friday my dear sweet husband surprised me and ER with pizza for lunch. He works less than ten minutes away and comes home to eat a lot; it was so fun to have a hot meal come in the door with him. He also took me out to dinner, I know two out meals in one day I am so spoiled! I think ER thought the whole thing was great fun too after all she got to eat cheese pizza and corn on the cob plus drink chocolate milk through a straw all in one day!

She also loved helping me open my presents. I think all I was there for was to provide her a comfy spot to sit. When she unwrapped the two fun new craft organizer caddies Brad surprised me with she immediately grabbed them and began running around the couch in circles, "There's mine, mine, mine!" Guess it's never to early to start a love of organization! I was pretty excited about them too because one is made out of Amy Butler fabric, a bit on the larger side, and perfect for helping me tote projects in progress downstairs so I can work on little things like cutting out pieces for applique at the kitchen island where I can keep an eye on ER. On Saturday my parents and younger brother came out, that's me, ER, and my mom aka Grammy above. We had a fun day with lunch at the Olive Garden, it's ER's favorite restaurant so going there ensured there would be a well behaved toddler. It works for us because the meal is served in courses. She colors at the beginning, a breadstick appears, and then it's time for her favorite spaghetti and meatballs.

We visited our brand new local library, it's a BIG improvement over our old one; we can't wait to start story time there. We played at the community park and then enjoyed ice cream and cake, and yes I totally splurged on coffee ice cream!
For some reason ER thought it was the funnest thing on earth to put the table decoration my mom brought on her head like a hat, tons of giggles followed.

And then today we all went to the outlets to shop for a new watch for me and some spring clothes for little missy. Brad told me he'd give me one for my birthday so that's why I wasn't expecting much more than my new bag on Friday. I rather stupidly dropped mine in a glass of water on accident and have been without one for months. Found a cute silver bracelet style one at Fossil AND it was on sale, score!

It's been a great weekend but I wouldn't be surprised if 1.) I regained the last few pounds I just lost back and if 2.)Brad's looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, so he can have a break from our hectic fun filled weekend.

I've got three more birthday outings this week. I'm having dinner with my friend Julie, who I met way back in junior high on Tuesday for our birthdays. Hers is March 12th. Then it's over toward the west side of the mitten on Thursday to visit with my friend Jennifer and her soon to be one year old daughter. Jennifer is also a Pisces so that's kind of a birthday visit. Then on Friday is my sorority's alumnae group's fund raiser dinner dance. That's my big birthday outing celebration with Brad, but geez I already feel like a spoiled princess with all my days of partying!
