W is for Whale

I can't take credit for this craft, it's one ER did in preschool. I thought it was a cute twist on a paper bag craft and share worthy. I've made paper bag pumpkins with my classes but never these. It's pretty easy to do.

Stuff lunch bag with crumpled up newspaper.
Crunch up open end and twist to make tail.
Paint bag blue.
Attach google eyes with glue.
Draw on face details.
Fold a few blue pipe cleaners in half.
Poke through top of bag as shown and bend.

Did you notice that ER's whale has long pretty lashes? She told me, that's because it's a girl whale.

I love that whale! The lashes make 'her.' I have to admit whales are one of my biggest fears (my Mom read Jonah and the Whale to me when I was little, and I have recurring nightmares to this day)....so weird, so it's always good to see a 'cute' one out there. ;o) I also like that your little gal is wearing a tiarra....I'd do this all day at work if they'd let me!

That is so cute!! I take Emily to a Mommy and Me slow separation class at the nursery school she will go to next year. I love getting great ideas for projects from her teacher. We have done so many cute projects that are totally blog worthy. I am so glad that you shared this one :0)

That is adorable! Looks simple enough.

Aiyana also makes sure to put lashes on all her girl things she makes.
