Repurposing a Shopping Bag in a Gift Bag

We celebrated Father's Day with my Dad today; the Shutterfly photobook of our recent trip to Chicago was a big hit. I am glad I did it right away so we can all begin enjoying the pictures right away. He's a pretty good sport, but I figured he probably didn't want his gift to come covered in sparkles and princesses. I was out of gift bags and anything remotely manly looking in the gift wrap department last night and needed something quick.
I decided to upcycle one of my favorite Baby Gap shopping bags. I love them, and horde them like I might never step foot back inside of that store. Which would be perfectly fine with Brad, and I might be out of them for a bit, but only because ER is beginning to transition over to Gap Kids. Anyhoo back to the bag, as you can see each comes in a nice chocolate brown color with super cute striped ribbon; the same pattern is repeated inside the bag too.
To cover up the logo, I shopped my craft stash and found a die cut and some ribbon to embellish one side. I wish I'd had a little bit more of the ribbon, but it was a scrap and sometimes you have to make do. A few seconds later I had a nice bow and a glue dot made sure it stuck right on and wasn't going anywhere. A hand cut star might've worked better than a bow but I needed something to cover the tiny tear I...ah just might have added to the sentiment die cut while pulling the ribbon through.
On the otherside I used a coordinating frame, added a quick picture of Papa's favorite granddaughter and a little tag with a chipboard heart. Easy peasy, done, and out the door.

Um...Katie. How did ER get SO big So incredibly fast?! She looks like a little lady right here. Gorgeous! I'm sure Daddy hears all the time that he's gonna have to lock her up when she's a teen!
