You Color My World

Do you remember when fibers were really trendy in scrapbooking? Like many I stocked up on more than my fair share and have most of them still nicely wrapped around embroidery floss holders. Recently, I broke them out and got to put a serious dent on my stash. I also got to use up several 1X12 inch patterned paper scraps. I think everything pops nicely against the white background. It has a subtle texture to it, that I like because then it's not so flat looking.I am digging the bit of texture added along my paper "rainbow". I used a glue pen to run a thin line of glue between papers and then pressed the fibers into the wet adhesive. (I'm sorry that the picture is over exposed, it was late.)
To get even more use out of my fibers, I wrapped the chipboard letters in my title. I don't normally create one picture layouts so this was a fun way for me to showcase a favorite picture of ER at the Tulip Festival in 2009. I think the happy colors mirror the big smile on her face.

And I love the idea of wrapping chipboard letters!! Those letters really "popped" when you did that!

Great job using scraps! Love the fibers too - I'll have to look into some scrapbook glue again - I used to have some.
