Kid Craft: Making Cards with Foam Shapes

I'm sure this never happens to any of my readers, but well, sometimes...my darling daughter can be a never ending blur of activity and noise. And I have to admit, at times keeping up with her can be tiring, annoying, and a drain on my sanity. Sometimes after she's been yammering to me nonstop for an hour I just want a little quiet.
During our last big snow storm, she was stuck inside and full of pent up energy. Driving me NUTS! Nothing kept her attention longer than a nano second and I could NOT read one more book to her. Finally we hit upon two boxes of self adhesive foamies in the closet. Hallelujah!
She decided she wanted to make cards, just like Mommy. Can't tell you how relieved I was that sorting, organizing, peeling off the backs, and the sticking of these suckers kept her busy for an hour. Ah, a blissfully quiet hour of peace for me!
As the snow fell we both worked in the office together, and I could tell she put a lot of effort into these letters to Aunt Jody and Uncle Jeff. Afterward she asked me to take pictures and put them up on my blog. Cause that's what I do when I make something. Too hysterical, can't tell she's got a blogger for a Mom! Craft foamies, a mom's life saver, they're a good thing!

PS: Sorry about the wonky color the fronts photographed pretty true to color but for some reason the insides did not and I couldn't fix them properly in Elements.

LOL, our daughters would play so well together! Great job, ER (and Mommy;). Enjoy this precious time with her before she becomes a big sister:)

That's really cute! Yeah my kids were each home sick for a week, then we had mid-winer break then snow says (ugh!)

It's hard when they are home all the time... as much as we love them!

It's so great when you find something that captivates them like that!

She has your talent. Those cards look fabulous. Our kids are so silly, they do know what we do as bloggers! I know her Aunt and Uncle are going to love them. And I know you enjoyed the quite time.

She did a great job. We play with foam shapes all the time with the daycare kiddos. Hope you are doing well Katie!
