My Birthday Dinner

Thank you again for all the birthday wishes last week! I had a wonderful day, the three of us went over to my parents' house.
Mom made a delicious dinner a more sophisticated twist on the Prego spaghetti sauce and long noodles, with NO meat or anything else added, I used to request growing up. This time it was baked chicken Parmesan made with panko crumbs and homemade marinara sauce, very good! Dessert was my favorite part, because I convinced her to make me a lemon pie instead of cake. It was so good; the best dessert I've had in awhile! I am going to try to get her to make it for Easter too. If you read my list of 34 Random Things About Me from last week, you already know how much I like lemon scents, it's also one of my favorite flavors too.My family also went in together to get me a Color Nook, thank you to my brother David for researching the different ereaders to figure out which one was right for me. I am very excited to learn how to use it. It's so fancy I might end up having to go to the classes they offer at Barnes & Noble to figure out all the tricks. I got a few other things too, like an awesome new paper trimmer. I always am getting crooked edges or not cutting things exactly right, the wire cut line is very helpful! Plus I got to enjoy this lovely bouquet of flowers picked out by my chicklet all week long. Turning 34 hasn't been that bad at all☺

The pie was from Midwest Living Magazine recipes - I obtained a copy online at their website. It's called "Triple Lemon Pie." It's from scratch and some ingredients are: sour cream, eggs, fresh lemon juice, zest, etc. No canned milk.
