Got Scraps? Make a Password Mini Boook

Got paper scraps from various crafting projects laying around?
Turn this... Into this!
Why? Cause you love surfing the Internet, belong to a lot of websites, and have a lot of passwords. Remember you're not supposed to use the same one over and over. Make a handy dandy little mini book to keep track of them, that's cute AND functional.

Begin by compiling your paper scraps, cut them into 3X4 inch pieces, or any other small dimensions. Just make sure they're all the same. Round the edges, if you like, and punch a hole into the top corner of each one. Embellish the front cover, I used a sticker, letter rub-ons, a flower jewel, and ribbon scrap.

Assemble the book by putting all the pieces of paper onto a book ring, I got mine at Staples. Write a website on each piece of paper followed by its password. Display by your computer and enjoy never needing to have your password emailed to you again. Change your password or stop using a particular site, simply pull out the page. It's so easy to add more pages too.

Now that is an absolutely fantastic idea. I sooooo need one of those - you are right - everyone does. I have one on a scrap piece of paper here and there and sometimes I just can't remember. That is truly a cute, cute idea. So glad you stopped by to visit me - I so appreciate it. Glad you are getting to stay with your precious daughter. You are right - the time will fly by. My lil' guy started Kingergarten this year - and it is truly hard to believe. Many blessings to you and your family. Cathy

You are not supposed to use the same email? Opps:)

That is really cute and a good idea. You know you are gonna have to send in three post to SITS, so they can pick you as a Featured Blogger!! You can do this, your pillow and your board book.

BTW, you can pick another picture file, if you wanted to do the tag:)

You are welcome for the recipe.

Did you make this up? Cause its brilliant! This would be another great thing for the g-parents! (I signed up for paper-less billing, ya know, the phone and internet company email you to tell you to go to their website because your bill is ready to be viewed. Well I can never remember my password or log in so I never go and see my bill so I never pay the proper amount so we get warning calls. yeesh)

What a great idea...I swear you are to crafty. I love it. I duplicated your pink pillow with the buttons from yesterdays post. I HAD to make it! It was so stinkin cute. I made it as a smaller version with ribbon to make it a door hanger.

How cool is this. You should consider making up a dozen of these and put them on Etsy, Katie. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. :o)

I love, love, love this! I, too, have most of my passwords on scrap paper and post-its shoved into an envelope which is nearly falling apart. Functional and cute! Also, adore the board book album!

Thank you so much for your sweet comments Katie!
I actually staple the ribbon to the back of the plaques w/ a staple gun. I've found that the ribbon holds better this way.
Also, I got my platter stand from Hobby Lobby. It was white but I spray painted it to match my kitchen. :D

Found you from Tip Junkie. Cute idea :) I just keep mine in a plastic page protector. This is WAY better :) Thanks for sharing. I, too, am currently staying home with my daughter. I was a special educator for 6 years before choosing this route :)

That’s a smart idea! I have tons of passwords for various websites and sometimes, I have to run a guessing game when asked for my password. Thanks for sharing! I just learned how to organize my passwords in a fun and cool way.
